My Holiday to Rome

Haven't posted for a while and really need to get back into the habit of posting regularly which I will try to do! These past few weeks have been busy, with a interview for a internship at a big company in London, which I got and start in September! will do regular posts about that when I start the role!
I also had a huge amount of shopping to do for my holiday to Rome which I got back from on Sunday, and it was AMAZING. seriously such a beautiful place to visit and would recommend to anybody. I went with my Boyfriend and it was such a great holiday, missing it lots! We visited the Vatican which was incredible, usually walking around on tours doesn't interest me too much, but when we went into the Sistine Chapel it was the most beautiful incredible room I have ever stepped foot in, the art work on the ceilings I couldn't describe, their are no words for it. The whole experience was incredible, when we stepped in there they have the staff standing telling you not to take photographs and constantly repeating 'shh' over the intercom, the silence really allows you to take in the work around you.

The following day we went to the Coliseum on a guided tour which was so interesting to listen to how it was created and the events that took place inside such a historical building. We started the tour at the top layer of the building and had a chance to take some fantastic photographs, moving our way down to the center where we could see down below to where the prisoners were actually held before they had to fight, it was so sad to hear the stories behind it but very interesting at that.
Such an amazing holiday.
Snaps throughout, amazing food we had etc.

Race For Life

Hello! I thought I would do a quick post, to let everyone know I'm doing the race for life this year in July in honour of my dad who I sadly lost last year to cancer. It was a really difficult time in my life and the pain is still there every day. Even though I am not the most active person I have been going to the gym which Ive started to really enjoy. And I want to do this as its such a great cause, and I truly hope that all the money raised from everybody will eventually find a cure for this horrible disease. Please donate to my page :

Hair Elastics and how I used them

There are so many different hair styles you can do with these cute lace elasticated bands.
I bought meters of it and then just cut to the length I wanted and tied the knot in it.
They have been seen on celebrities around festivals I have a feeling they will be seen a lot in the next few months. Simple but stylish.

Mood Boards

So I was feeling creative and realized I hadn't posted anything on my blog for a while ( uni work keeping me busy) I put together a mood board of items I really want to purchase ATM. Mostly from my Topshop but also from New Look, Miss Guided etc. I have also been getting creative in making my own items. I went into Urban Outfitters the other day and saw these HAIR ELASTICS that I saw on some celebrities at a festival recently. They are just elasticated Lace tied into a knot that you can wack your hair up with but they look so pretty! I couldn't justify spending £6 for three pieces of elasticated lace, so I went on Ebay and found a cheaper shop and bought 3 meters of 3 colours. Pale pink, white, and light blue. They look so cute. I will do a blog post of my hair in these bands, so make sure to come back and check.

Recent Purchases and how I styled them.

I purchased this jumper from.... PRIMARK, would you believe. I love the mesh and sports vibe to the          jumper. I styled it with a simple black dress and my DR MARTEN boots. I styled my hair simply with                     two monster clips each side, to which my friends said I had unicorn hair all day :P

Interview:

I recently had a interview at the a Fashion PR company in London.
I purchased this Oh My Love dress, Tartan with the lace detail along the top.
and I wore my new look wedge heels. I wanted to look smart but also dress for my age and look fashionable. The interview went really well, it was great experience going into a company and seeing the beautiful show room with all the clothes and shoes. I'm hoping to get a internship over the summer holidays and I would love to hear back from this company.

I purchased this cute little oh my love dress in the Topshop boxing day sales.
I love the colour and the frilly top detail, I decided to pair mine with a gold chain from Primark and grungy boots from Office which I have had for years! I'm also wearing my Marks and Spencer coat my mum bought me not too long ago!

Paul Smith Exhibition Day in London

The other week I headed into London to check out the Paul Smith and Isabella Blow Exhibitions,
Unfortunately you were not allowed to take photographs at the Isabella one, But I got plenty at the Paul Smith. I really loved the Paul Smith exhibition, It showed his work space throughout the years in the different shops he worked at, there was pattern cuttings hanging from the ceilings, back stage tags, old sketchbooks which I would have LOVED to look through, Illustrations and design ideas, Fabric swatches and so much more! There was also a wall of photographs and also his collections, which were beautiful.
Being London and such a great exhibition the gift shop was very expensive so I didn't manage to buy a book as much as I would have loved too.  Next it was to somerset house to see the Isabella Blow exhibition, Now this one was truly so beautiful the details and delicate designs on show, the dresses were stunning and the displays like a under water scene were so pretty to look at, I wish now looking back I had done some sketches of it, This exhibition was very big, there was lots of things in different rooms. A room I really loved was full of black and white fashion photography.
After the exhibitions me and Jaz headed to Oxford street Topshop of course! and tried the new craze drink that is bubbleology, I had the strawberry and apple one. It was very SWEET and sickly and I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Next time I want to try the Mocha Milk drink. I purchased a beautiful baby pink satin bra whilst there, and a gorgeous faded orange dress.
Over all very successful day. :)
